What is Meditation?

Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing their mind on a particular object, thought or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.

 

Meditation may be used with the aim of reducing stress, anxiety, depression, and pain, and increasing peace, perception, self-concept and well-being. Focused methods include paying attention to the breath, to an idea or feeling such as loving-kindness, or to a mantra.

Dress code

In order to respect the local culture and minimize distraction from sadhana, we ask that you respect the dress code, even on balconies and in the gardens.

Generally, shoulders and legs should be covered – no tank tops or singlets. Please avoid tight leggings.
